Annalisa Jenkins awarded OBE

The award was given in recognition of outstanding services to life sciences.

Dr Annalisa Jenkins has been awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to life sciences, as part of the King’s New Year Honours list for 2026.

For more than 25 years, Annalisa has demonstrated outstanding leadership in life sciences.

Her career has centred on building and financing companies pursuing cures for the most challenging diseases globally, across the public, private and charitable sectors.

Her experience includes Merck Serono, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genomics England, British Heart Foundation, The King’s Fund, Cancer Research UK and Dimension Therapeutics.

Most recently, she holds board positions for several life sciences companies, as well as contributing publicly on leadership with purpose, social entrepreneurship, diversity and innovation.

In September 2025, Annalisa joined Protas’ Board of Directors, bringing with her vast experience and a personal interest in transformational initiatives in healthcare.

The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry. It honours individuals who have made substantial contributions through achievement or services to their community, industry or nation. It was first established by King George V in 1917.
